Dabo said Tanner Muse will play with the club on his arm again on Saturday. It was clearly a detriment to his tackling and ball skills at NC State, so we'll see how that affects his playing time. They hope he'll be able to play without it after that. Mark Fields is still day-to-day, but Dabo said Marcus Edmond will travel with the team for the first time this weekend. Hopefully he can stay healthy and get some good game experience before the post-season. 

I asked Dabo about how Spence responded and whether it's even a close competition with Grooms and Costa. He said Spence responded well in practice and that Costa was out sick today. He said that Grooms had a great week of practice but that Spence was still the clear cut #1. 

Finally, I asked Dabo if there was any change in the backup QB situation, given that there has been no mention of it the last couple weeks. When I asked Dabo about the decision to play Hunter at the end of the GT game, he said it was Streeter's call in that situation. Dabo told me tonight that it's still status quo between those guys, indicating Zerrick is still the next guy in if something were to happen to Kelly, but that Hunter was right there. Let's just hope we don't see either of those guys again unless it's mop-up duty!

I'll have Venables posted shortly. I asked him about his evaluation of Ray-Ray at corner the other night, and he said he did well for the most part. Dabo told me they've been repping Ray-Ray at corner about the same in practice as they have all season.
