Game was postponed until 4:00 due to rain. Same lineup as last night except Cromwell is in for Greene. Byrd will play at 2nd and Cromwell will play 3rd. Brooks Crawford on the mound. Expecting big things from him this season.

Davidson throws out the leadoff man on a grounder to short. He looks to have improved a lot from his freshman season last year. He was always a good fielder but was really wild with his throws to first last year.

Crawford goes 1-2-3 in the first! Davidson, Wharton and Beer will start it off for the Tigers. Let's hope the bats don't take as long to heat up tonight!

This starting pitcher for the Tribe must be pretty good. He was drafted in the 12th round out of high school by the Padres.

Ugh Jolly tagged to 3rd safely on Cromwell's fly out to center, but he tried to steal home after the throw to 3rd careened off his helmet into the infield, and he was thrown out at the plate by the 3rd baseman. Bad decision there by Jolly.

Not sure why Monte pulled Crawford. He was only at 65 pitches.

UGH not the response we were looking for. Strider hits his second batter of the inning, loading the bases, and then throws one past Wilkie for a run. 

Monte's seen enough and brings in freshman lefty Matt Clark from Hilton Head. Bit of a gamble with a 3-run lead and 2nd and 3rd with no outs.

Strider was on fire and all the sudden the wheels came off with an 0-2 count on the leadoff man. Growing pains for the freshman.

Of course, Clark's first batter singles to make it 7-6! Like I said, I don't think I would have put a freshman in that situation. Just like that, the tying run is on 1st with no outs!

Clark gets a K for the first out, and Monte brings in Carson Spiers, the nephew of Clemson and MLB great Bill Spiers. His cousin, Will Spiers, is in the front row looking on.
