His AVERAGE of 44.2 points per game will never be approached, and he did it before the 3-point line existed! He would have easily averaged over 50 per game with the 3-point line, and it would have helped him score more inside as well because opponents would have been so worried about him shooting outside.

Pete's father, Press, coached at Clemson before taking the job at NC State, and then LSU where Pete played. I've always imagined how awesome it would have been if Pres stayed at Clemson and Pete played there!
