I threw out my back last night, so I'll be calling this one from home. This should be an easy rout for them! Western had a pretty good club 2 years ago, and you may recall the Tigers beat them twice in the NCAA Regional, but they are having a rough season this year.

Tigers have won 10 of their last 11, losing only 3-2 in 13 innings to #15 FSU after a long layoff for exams. 2-way freshman Sam Weatherly gets his 3rd start.

Weatherly gives up a leadoff single.

HALL DELIVERS AGIAN!!! Single scores Wharton from 2nd to make it 2-1. Man that freshman is clutch! 2 on with one out for Greene, who hit the walk-off homer to win the FSU series.

GREENE DELIVERS AGAIN!!! Double scores 2 and puts Tigers up 3-2! RISP with one out for leadoff man Davidson.

DAVIDSON HOMER!!! His 10th of season and 2nd in as many games puts Tigers up 5-2! 3rd Tiger with double digit homers, and the Tigers are now #1 in the Power Five in HR's. Only Tennessee Tech has more.

Weatherly gives up a one-out homer and a walk but nothing else in the 3rd. Wilkie threw out his second runner of the game to end the inning.

Wharton and Byrd back-to-back 2-out singles, but Hall popped up to strand em at the corners.

Weatherly hits a batter and gives up a walk with 2 outs. Marr in from the pen.

Marr strikes out his first batter to end the inning and strand 2.

Wilkie 2-out single.

BEER RUN!!! He re-takes the team lead with his 15th of the season and 2nd in as many games, putting the Tigers up 7-3! Just like Monday night in the 7th, Wilkie comes up with a 2-out single and Beer hits a 2-out homer. Beer is 2-3 tonight after going 2-4 with a homer on Monday night!

Ugh Marr gives up a one-out single, and he gets all the way to 3rd on a throwing error by Davidson. Tying run on 3rd with one out!

Just like that, WCU ties the game on a ground out. Damn errors! 2 down.

Marr gets a K swinging to end the inning. 4 unanswered runs for Western.

New pitcher for Western, and Hall is HBP to start the inning. Greene up with leadoff man Davidson on deck. Greene doubled last time, scoring 2.

Ugh Greene attempts to bunt and pops it up to 1st. One on with one out for Davidson.

Hall steals 2nd! Gotta love what this kid brings to the table. RiSP with one out for Davidson.

Davidson strikes out swinging, catcher throws him out at 1st and Hall advances to 3rd on the throw. Heads up play by Hall! Man on 3rd with 2 outs for Wilkie, who singled last time.

WILKIE DELIVERS!!! Infield single and yet another 2-out hit for Wilkie scores Hall to re-take the lead!

Wilkie to 2nd on a wild pitch. RISP with 2 outs for Beer, who homered last time and is 2-3 tonight, 4 for his last 7 with 2 homers.

Beer wisely walked intentionally. 2 on with 2 outs for Williams, who is hitless tonight.

WILLIAMS DELIVERS!!! 2-out double for his first hit of the game scores 2 more! Clutch 2-out hitting by the Tigers. RISP for Cromwell.

Cromwell flies out to end the inning, but great 3-run, 2-out rally by the Tigers after 4 unanswered runs by Western. Now if only the pitching will start throwing up some zeroes!

Marr still in there to start the 7th despite a terrible 5th and another run in the 6th, although that one was on Davidson.

Marr gets 2 quick outs and then gives up a single.

Grounder ends the inning. Still haven't gone 1-2-3 yet tonight!

Hall 2-out single. He is 2-3, reaching base 3 times and scoring 2 runs! New pitcher for Western to face Greene, who has a double and 2 RBI's tonight.

Strider in for Marr to start the 8th. All 3 pitchers for the Tigers have been freshmen tonight.

Strider gets a foul out and 2 K's, 1-2-3! First 1-2-3 inning for the Tigers tonight.

Wilkie one-out single! He is 3-5 tonight with a RBI and 2 runs scored. He is now batting .293 on the season! No one would have predicted that going into the season, or even halfway through the season. Only freshman Sam Hall has a better average on the team, and he only has about 30 at bats.
