****K.J. Henry in
Clemson for Official Visit
On Saturday the Tigers return to the confines of Death Valley to
take on the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech in a game that for Clemson is a
“must win” if its hopes of a 3rd straight ACC Title and College Football
Playoff appearance are to come to fruition in 2017.
With the prime-time ABC slot and all the hoopla surrounding an
ACC rival, the staff is expecting a great list of potential Tigers to attend,
and the recruiting visitor list is filling up quickly with commits and targets
alike, all anxious to see the Tigers take on the Yellow Jackets Saturday under
the lights at 8:00.
So far, the headliner is undoubtedly Charlotte area prospect
K.J. Henry, who is ranked as high as 5 stars on some services. He has a short
list of finalists, including the Tigers, Alabama, South Carolina, Virginia Tech
and Georgia. Henry has already completed two of his allotted five official
visits to Georgia and Virginia Tech. His visit this weekend with the Defending
National Champs will be his third.
Henry has made it known earlier in the year that his decision
day is going to be December 20, and he is all set for early enrollment at his
school of choice, so he has less than 2 months to make the biggest decision of
his young life. This marks Henry’s first visit since the Auburn game earlier in
the year, and it coincides with the busy schedule of his father, who is RB Coach
at University of Charlotte and has a bye this week. So K.J. will have both
parents present with him on his visit to Tiger Town.
Henry has been no stranger to Clemson since being seen by the
staff competing at the Dabo Swinney Camp three years ago. At the time, he was an unknown prospect, but
Clemson identified him quickly, giving Henry his very first offer, and the
staff has stayed the course with him throughout his recruitment. Stay tuned
here at CUTigers.com for the returns on the visit and where we see the Tigers
and Henry moving forward!
****GT Game Visitor List
Xavier Thomas and Mike Jones, Jr. at the Auburn game.
A very solid list of prospects is expected to meander into Tiger
Town this weekend for the 8:00 main event, with a national television audience
tuning in. We are expecting about 75 of
the top recruits and prospects from all over the local and regional footprint
from 2019 to 2021, with a few 2018 recruits showing up as well and some of the
Tigers’ top commits for the 2018 class.
We have confirmed the attendance of Clemson commits Xavier
Thomas and Mike Jones, Jr. along with fellow IMG teammate and 2019 running back
stud Noah Cain, who has a who’s-who list of offers and is at the top of Tony
Elliot’s wish list for the 2019 class. He cites offers from FSU, Ohio State,
LSU, Michigan and Texas, to name a few. Cain is a big-time player, and Clemson is
really pushing hard at present to show the running back he is a top priority
for the 2019 class. Also in tow from
Bradenton, FL will be the IMG punter, Aidan Swanson.
An intriguing visitor is Cade Mays. He’s been a Tennessee commit
since May, but with the upheaval that has been the Vols’ season so far this
year, it has the big man from Knoxville exploring options outside of Knoxville.
Cade is a UT legacy, though—his dad was an OL for the Vols. He has already
confirmed his official visit is lined up for Clemson later in November for the
game with in-state military college, The Citadel.
Mays is a former teammate of Clemson commit Mike Jones, Jr. and
is expected to be escorted throughout the day by Jones personally.

HUDL HIGHLIGHTS:
Another huge offensive line prospect is expected to make the trip up from the Sunshine State of Florida, and that is Michael Tarquin. At 6’5 and 290 pounds, he’s a huge lineman with offers currently from Auburn, Florida, FSU, LSU, Michigan and the list goes on. The Tigers have had a long interest in Tarquin, and coach Robbie Caldwell is personally recruiting this monster from the Sunshine State. This one is going to be a good recruitment to watch, so stay tuned right here at CUTigers.com!

HUDL HIGHLIGHTS:
On any other day, Xavier Thomas would headline any visitors
list. The 2018 Clemson DE commit will be on campus yet again with IMG teammate
Mike Jones, Jr., serving as lead recruiters for the day. Jones is set to shadow
Mays and family, and expect Thomas and Henry to hang together and compare
notes, as these two have formed quite the friendship and have whispered about
playing together one day.

Looking into the 2020 class, you can expect to see QB Michael
Wright of Woodward Academy in Georgia, who is citing offers from Illinois,
Cincinnati and Jackson State.

HUDL HIGHLIGHTS:
Also expected to make the trek north on I-85 is fellow Peach
State native Tee Denson, a 2020 defensive back with interest from the Defending
National Champs. He is a very young
player that is a part of the Cam Newton 7-on-7 stable. His recruitment is just starting
to heat up, and Clemson was the first to show interest. The staff has reached
out and invited him for this weekend, so keep your eyes on this one.
DT Quack Cohen from Greer, SC is a local 2019 prospect from the
Ramon Robinson EPT stable (like fellow protégé Kelly Bryant) and is personally
coached by former Clemson defensive tackle Rashaad Jackson. He will be on hand
and is starting to really get a buzz about his play so far this season at
nearby Greer High School. His head coach is Clemson alum Will Young.

****New Offer
Clemson reached into the Sunshine State of Florida and offered 2019 DE Gemon J. Wilson out of Deerfield Beach, a player that is blowing up with offers from all over the Power Five at present. Now the defending National Champs have thrown their hat in with the likes of Florida, FSU. Michigan, Oklahoma and many more. So stay tuned, as we monitor his recruitiment!
