The Tigers dropped from #16 out of the AP Poll after their first loss last week against a hot-shooting Creighton team, but they are #24 in the Coaches Poll. They will look to improve to 6-1 tonight at 7:00 against Nebraska in Littlejohn. Stay tuned for live coverage, play-by-play and post-game interviews! The game will be on ESPN2.

Tough home loss to a good Nebraska team that was 5-1 coming in. Tigers had a golden opportunity to tie the game but were called for a travel with some contact under the basket. I haven't had a chance to see the replay yet and whether it was the right call. Would have been a miraculous comeback if they pulled it off.

Nebraska got a big offensive rebound at the end that led to a 3-pointer to put Nebraska up by 8 late. Second straight loss for the Tigers after a 5-0 start. The home loss equals their home loss total from last season. The crowd definitely wasn't very good tonight for an ACC/Big Ten Challenge game, and Brownell mentioned that. Whether the extra energy from a packed house could have made the difference is anyone's guess.

Reed finished with 15 points but only had 4 at the half. I'd like to see him more aggressive early. He came into the game averaging almost 20 points per game. Eli Thomas got into foul trouble early, and that hurt as well. Brownell told me after the game that he needs to get a couple solid weeks of practice in without any complications. He had the ankle injury at the beginning of the season and then missed time with the flu a couple weeks ago.

The Tigers have a week off until their next game here at home next Tuesday, and the long break comes at the perfect time for the team to regroup.
