The Tigers finally caught a break last night at Notre Dame! They need to beat Cuse on Senior Day Saturday to be safe, though. That would give them a 9-9 record in the nation's best conference and most likely lock it up. A win Saturday and another win in the ACC Tourney would certainly get them in. Their BPI ranking was #31 before last night's win. Lundardi has the Tigers as a 12 seed in the "First Four" game against Seton Hall in Connecticut, playing 5 seed Maryland if they win that. It looks like the Tigers will play NC State in Charlotte on Wednesday, regardless of the outcome on Saturday. Ironic, given that damn State buzzer-beater started a run of 4 last-second losses for the Tigers. Had that shot not fallen, the Tigers would probably already have a spot in the NCAA Tourney.  |
