Just got to DK from the football interviews, and the Tigers have a 2-0 lead in the 5th! Hall drove in the first run in the 3rd, and Burd hit his 4th HR of the season in the 4th. Byrd has been on fire the last 2 weeks! |

Whew! after a 10 or 11-pitch at bat, Spiers gets their best hitter to ground out to end the game! TIGERS WIN 6-3 TO CLINCH SERIES!!! Another big day for Byrd, with a HR and 3 RBI’s. Mat Clark was superb as he’s been all season, going 7.1 innings and not allowing a run. He improves to 7-0 after starting the season in the pen! Tigers are now 2 games ahead of Louisville for 2nd and may be tied for 1st if NC State lost today. I’ll have post-game interviews shortly! |
