Walks cost Tigers in 6-2 game 1 loss at FSU

Davis Sharpe (5-1, 1.55 ERA) will start on the mound at 6:00. He hasn’t hit the last couple times he’s pitched, and I expect that to be the case again. Tigers are 2nd in ACC at 11-4. This will be their last series against legendary FSU Coach Mike Martin, who set the all-time NCAA win record at Clemson last season though losing the series.

They just walked way too many against a pitcher like Parrish. Probably would have won the game if not for walks. Sharpe drops to 5-2 and the Tigers to 11-5 in the ACC. The Noles had lost 5 of their last 6 before tonight and found themselves outside the rankings for the first time in years.

Mat Clark (7-0) will be on the mound tomorrow at 2:00.
