Been raining all day here in Clemson on Good Friday, so the game might start late or be rescheduled for tomorrow, but I’ll let you know. Davis Sharpe will get the start on the mound. Tigers coming off a heartbreaking 3-2 loss at No.4 UGA in 20 innings, the longest game in history for both schools. Incredible job by the pitching staff after a terrible weekend at FSU. They allowed just 5 hits and combined for a school-record 24 strike outs. Didn’t allow an earned run until the 20th inning! A walk and an error resulting in 2 runs in the 7th coat them the game.

Good grief Weatherly was up 0-2 and gave up a 2-2 single through the left side. Then a wild throw from Byrd gives them the go-ahead run! Davidson should have made the backhanded play but still wouldn’t have gotten the out at 1st. But it should be tied right now instead of 7-6! I didn’t feel good about Monte leaving Weatherly in with the tying run on 3rd. Not really his fault because he got a ground ball. Just bad luck made worse by bad fielding.
