The Tigers should get at least 3 first-round picks tonight and possibly as many as 5! Wilkins, Ferrell and Big Dex will go in the 1st for sure, and Mullen could go late. I expect Bryant to go in the 2nd round tomorrow, but it's possible he could go tonight as well. The Tigers have 30 first-round picks all-time, which is tied for 19th most. With 3 first-round picks tonight, the Tigers would move ahead of Auburn and Wisconsin and would be one behind Nebraska, which has 34. If Mullen goes tonight too, the Tigers will be tied for 18th with Nebraska. They will continue to rocket up that list in the next several years! It will be interesting to see how high Lamar and Fields go—particularly Fields after recording the second-fastest 40 time at the Combine. BIG DEX GOES NO.17 TO GIANTS!!! Tigers are now one behind Nebraska for 18th most first round picks ever. ACC had had a great first round! 2 picks in the top 6 with Ferrell and Daniel Jones from Duke. 6 picks in the top 17 from 4 different schools! The SEC has only had 4 picks so far.     |

Wow, Dabo was quick to notice that the picks matched with his favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13! Those were the numbers of Watson and Renfrow, who connected for the National Championship winning play, and now they are the draft picks of Ferrell and Wilkins! And 4 +13 = 17, which is when Big Dex was picked! How crazy is that?! |

That’s all for the draft! Surprising neither Fields nor Hyatt was drafted, but I’m sure they’ll both sign somewhere as free agents as well as Kendall Joseph and Tre Lamar. I feel bad for Lamar because he had another year of eligibility left. Probably would have been a high draft pick if he had returned. |
