Lol sure enough, Marr gives up a single to make it 6-1. I would say at least 80% of the time when a new pitcher comes in from the pen, he gives up a walk or a hit to his first batter. |

With 2 outs, Davidson started a 3-run rally with a full count walk, but it wasn't enough. Byrd singled, Wilkie doubled and scored on a wild pitch. Another run scored on an error, but the 2-out rally came to an end with a ground out by Greene. TIGERS LOSE 9-7. They fall to 28-17, and barring a miracle, they won't be hosting a regional for the first time in the Monte Lee era. They would probably have to win the rest of their games, including a road series at NC State, and win the ACC Tournament. Just a disappointing season with a lot of freshmen and an inconsistent pitching staff. |
