From ESPN Stats & Info, the Tigers’ 10 consecutive wins by 20 points or more is tied for the second-longest streak in the modern era, since 1936. What's more amazing is that two of those wins were against undefeated, top-3 teams, and many thought Alabama might be the greatest team of all time!

The Tigers actually won 13 of their historic 15-0 season by 20 points or more. Of the two they didn't, one was the second game of the season, on the road, at night, in the rain, in front of 100,000 College Gameday fans when the Tigers were still splitting time between quarterbacks. And they had a couple opportunities to break that game open and win by 3 scores but made some mistakes, like a fumbled snap on the goal line. The other game, of course, was when Trevor Lawrence went down in the first half and they had to play with 3rd string QB Chase Brice. So they were remarkably close to winning all 15 games by 20 points or more!

I am trying to research who the Tigers are chasing for the most consecutive 20-point wins, I would wager it's Notre Dame or Oklahoma. Or maybe even Miami from the 80's. The Tigers should break the tie for 2nd against Georgia Tech in the opener, and if they can beat A&M by 3 TD's like they should have last year, they could very well break the record by the end of the season!

We are tied with the 2002 Boise team with 10 straight.

The team we're chasing won 12 straight by 20+, all in the same season, and they did not finish undefeated.

That's a big hint for you!

Ha! You're right that was way too easy. Couldn't see the forest for the trees I guess. It definitely adds credence to the argument that 2018 Clemson was the greatest team ever--beating the most dominant team in history by 28. Thanks for the info!
