Terry Bowden joining Clemson staff as "intern"

I had seen Bowden at a couple practices in the spring and thought something like this might be in the works. He is enrolled in a graduate program at Clemson in order to help out with the football team and must be the oldest GA in the nation at 63. Dabo is taking a page out of Nick Saban's playbook with this move, and it makes a lot of sense. Bowden has a good offensive mind and will give the staff some extra insight and new ideas for the offense.

Terry, of course, is the son of Bobby and younger brother of Tommy, who brought Dabo back into coaching in 2003 when he hired him as WR Coach at Clemson. Terry was fired by Akron last December after 7 seasons and led Auburn to an undefeated season in 1993 while on probation. Ironically, his father Bobby won his first national title that year at FSU.
