Not that many people pay attention to the Sports Illustrated rankings, but it makes you wonder if they slept through the National Championship last January. Even if you believe Alabama will get revenge and win the national title in 2019, the Tigers are just as talented, have the better returning QB and destroyed Bama by 28 points to go 15-0. Ranking Alabama over Clemson in the preseason is simply laughable. We'll see if the AP Poll makes more sense on the 19th and has Clemson No.1 like the Coaches' Poll. Even if it doesn't, the Tigers have won 2 of the last 3 national titles as the preseason No.2. |
