Alabama suffers enormous season-ending injury

Starting LB Dylan Moses, the signal caller of the defense and probably their most important player on that side of the ball, injured his knee and will likely miss the season. He is the second starting inside linebacker the Tide has lost for the season in the last month. Ironically, Moses is the one who made a lot of headlines at SEC Media Days in July, saying that the best team they played last year was Georgia, not Clemson. Moses led the Tide in tackles as a Butkus Award finalist last year and was a AP Preseason All-American this year. Maybe he will be back in time for the Tigers to get some payback in the playoff, but Alabama might not even make the playoff this year now. Before this, I still gave a slight edge to Alabama to beat Georgia and set up Clemson/Bama V, but I might like UGA to finally beat the Tide now. It also wouldn't be a leap to say Alabama loses at Texas A&M, putting the Aggies in the SEC Championship Game, but I think the Aggies will lose at UGA and probably at LSU, so Alabama would still win the West. Things will certainly be more interesting in the SEC than they have been in years!
