Today's so-called "neutral game" is at 3:00 today at the Firefly's stadium in Columbia. Obviously, it's essentially a home game for the Gamecocks--much more so than past years' games at Fluor Field in Greenville, which were split very evenly by fan support. Davis Sharpe will be on the mound for the Tigers. He hit a 2-run HR last night, his first of the season and one of three for the Tigers in their 7-1 win in Columbia. Kier Meredith was 4-5 and just a triple short of the first-ever Clemson cycle. Weatherly struck out 11, allowing no hits or runs in 7 innings, and now leads the nation in K's per 9 innings and probably total K's (33) as well. The Tigers are now 8-1 on the season.
