Spencer Strider is making his 4th start on the mound as the Tigers go for a sweep in their first ACC series. The Tigers' offense finally exploded for 12 runs yesterday. Chad Fairey finally got his first hit to lead off the 2nd inning, and it was a homer! He was 3-5 yesterday. My cousin's wedding is today in Vail, but I'll do my best to provide updates right here, and I'll have post-game interviews as well. |

Tigers trail 6-3 in the top of the 5th. Strider lasted just 2.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs with 5 K's. Mat Clark went 2 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 more runs. Gilbert is on the mound right now. The Tigers scored one in the 1st thanks to a Brewer double and Hawkins single. They added 2 more to take a 3-2 lead in the 2nd thanks to a Hack HBP, Meredith walk and Henderson double. Henderson has 5 RBI's in the last 2 games. |

CLEMSON, SC - After BC took a 6-3 lead in the top of the 5th, the Tigers scored a run in the bottom half thanks to a Brewer walk, a Henderson single and a Hawkins sac fly. Then they scored another in the 7th to make it 6-5 with a Sharpe walk, a Parker double and a Hack single. The 8th was almost identical to the 5th, with a Brewer walk, a Henderson single and a Hawkins sac fly to tie the game. Finally in the 9th, Sharpe led off with a walk, Hall pinch ran and stole 2nd. Fairey sac bunted him to 3rd, and Parker walked it off with a grounder to short. Small ball won the game! Hawkins was 3-4 with 2 RBI's, Brewer was 3-4 with 2 runs scored and Henderson was 2-4 with 2 RBI's. The Tigers are now 12-3 on the season and 3-0 in ACC play. They'll host PC and Winthrop on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. I'll have post-game interviews shortly! |
