What an improbable finish! One of the best free throw shooters in the nation, Jose Alvarado, misses both, and Honor banks a 3 for the win! I thought he'd make both and Tech would foul with the 3-point lead. Then I thought, drive for a game-winning layup! Instead, Honor hoists the 3, and luck smiles on the Tigers as it goes in off the glass! I'd rather be lucky than good! Simms, who was 3-4 from 3, had a look at the top of the key to try to tie the game with 12 seconds left, but instead he found Baehre under the basket for a dunk to cut the lead to one. That unselfish decision by Simms turned out to be the right one! If he had shot and missed, who knows what would have happened, but the Tigers probably would have lost.

The Tigers trailed by as many as 9. Simms tied his career high, scoring 25 to match his jersey number for the 3rd time. The last time was at Miami, when he made the game-winner. This snaps a 3-game losing streak to Tech, and the Tigers have won 3 straight, 4 straight at home, improving to 13-5 and 7-5 in the ACC. Huge win heading on the road to play a hot Notre Dame team! Tigers should be ranked again on Monday in my opinion. I'll have post-game interviews and highlights shortly!
