As expected, Sunday's game at Pitt canceled

The Tigers are still adhering to COVID protocols since the weekend. It will be close whether they'll be able to play at Wake next Wednesday. I guess the bright side of this second COVID layoff is that it came after 3 straight home games and right before 3 straight road games. Although they certainly could have won won all 3 at Notre Dame, Pitt and Wake, the first two would have been tough. The only two regular season games they have scheduled after Wake are at home against Miami and Pitt. They should win one or both of those, although we all remember how bad they were coming off their last COVID layoff. Regardless of what happens, I think the Tigers are almost assured of a spot in the NCAA Tourney at this point because of where they sit now and lack of remaining games. They were on a roll and could have improved their seed with 2 or 3 more wins on the road, but right now Lunardi has them as a 7 seed, which is pretty good. Even if they miss the Wake game and lose their last 2 at home, I don't see them falling out of the bracket. Knock on wood!
