We just wrapped up with Monte Lee, Kier Meredith and Mat Clark to preview this weekend's big Palmetto Series against No.16 South Carolina. The Tigers are 3-0 and ranked as high as No.22. Monte told me that he does not expect Meredith to play this weekend due to the leg injury he suffered a couple weeks ago, but he is not ruling it out. He is practicing, and they will evaluate him on Thursday. Meredith's .364 average led the team last season. Mat Clark was outstanding in his first appearance out of the pen on Friday, going 4 scoreless innings with 6 K's. The Hilton Head native was one of the heroes of last year's Palmetto Series, earning the rubber match win by pitching 3 scoreless innings out of the pen. The Tigers won the Palmetto Series last season and have won it 5 out of the last 6 years. The interviews are below! |
