The Tigers have won 17 straight but will meet their biggest test so far this weekend! First pitch of game one is at 3:00, and game two is immediately after. 2-way National Player of the Week Valerie Cagle will have the ball for game one. I'll have live play-by-play right here!

Good grief, Guimbarda also strikes out for the second time to strand the bases loaded. Golden opportunity missed! Bases loaded with no outs and the meat of the lineup. Gilstrap, Cagle and Guimbarda were hitting .323, .352 and .358, but none of them were able to get the ball out of the infield with bases loaded.

Ugh after 4 straight fouls on 0-2, Gilstrap makes her second error of the inning at short, and Duke gets on the board. Duke tries to score another, and the Tigers throw the runner out at the plate. Ugly inning! Duke scores its first run thanks to 2 errors by Gilstrap to bookend the inning, a hit batter and a wild pitch! Worst part is the Tigers had that golden opportunity with bases loaded and no outs earlier.

I guess in softball you can pinch run for a pitcher and she doesn't have to leave the game. Cagle goes 1-2-3 to finish a great game in the circle. Just the one HR and a couple errors by her defense.

Howell, Logoleo and Hyatt go 1-2-3 to end the game. Tough way for the Tigers' 17-game win streak to come to an end! They really should have won the game, but they choked in the clutch and Duke didn't.

Sorry, I just got back from football interviews! We're tied 1-1 in the 6th. The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the 4th when Cagle appropriately reached on a throwing error by short, same thing that cost the Tigers a run in the first game. Logoleo doubled to drive in the run.

Duke immediately answered in the top of the 5th on another error by Gilstrap at short with 2 outs. She cost the Tigers a run with her 2 errors in the first game as well!
