The Tigers will go for the sweep and their 6th straight win at 2:00 on ESPNU! Monte told me last night that Mat Clark will likely get the start for the Tigers, and they have plenty of rested arms in the pen. Hoffmann and Gilbert only pitched an inning each yesterday, and Clayton is fully rested. Caden Grice hit the game-winning HR yesterday and has 4 HR's in the last 2 games!

SHARPE 3-RUN HR!!! Lol Did I call it or what??! I said yesterday that hopefully reaching on that error would get him out of his slump. Since then, he's singled for an RBI and now the HR! He has 3 hits in the last 4 plus games, and 2 of them are big HR's, including the walk-off against Wake last week. Tigers lead 5-3!

Ugh Meredith caught in a run down and tagged out. Think they were trying to score Teo from 3rd before Meredith got tagged, but he was unable to elude long enough. Not a bad idea I guess, although Parker is a pretty good hitter notwithstanding yesterday.

Monte brings Hughes in from the pen. I don't know why he keeps giving Hughes chances in big spots. He almost always gives up a run when he comes in with runners on base. He's got 2 outs here, but he came in and walked his first batter yesterday. Monte has plenty of fresh arms in the pen, including Clayton, who hasn't pitched this weekend. I would have given him the ball. Then you've got Gilbert and Hoffmann, who could each go an inning or two.

K swinging on 3 pitches ends the game! What a series by the Tigers, dominating the No.4 team on Friday and Sunday! And they really should have won by more on Saturday because they left 14 on base including the bases loaded 3 times, but I'll take it!

TIGERS SWEEP NO.4 LOUISVILLE 15-5!!!

First time since joining the ACC that Louisville has been swept! Tigers have won 6 straight and look like a totally different team with big series at Tech and at FSU left before finishing with Duke at home.
