I knew it would happen! AP drops Tigers to No.6 to end streak

Total BS. The only difference in the game with now No.2 Georgia was a pick-six! If the Tigers aren't a top-5 team, no one is. Certainly not Oklahoma, which barely survived at home against Tulane 40-35, and not Texas A&M, which has a new QB and has proven nothing yet, blowing out a cupcake in week one. The Tigers could have blown out a cupcake and moved up to No.2.

It means nothing in the grand scheme of things, of course, because the Tigers will be back in the top 4 in no time. But it pisses me off because it ends their streak of 57 weeks in the AP top 5, the second-longest streak EVER! 12 more weeks, and they would have broken Bama's record. But I guess the pollsters didn't want that to happen.

I agree, Trevor. Total bullcrap! The sec-loving media is trying to set up a top-5 game between bama and a&m.

I love the Aggies almost as much as the Tigers, but I admit the Ags don't belong in the top 5. At least, not yet! Clemson went toe-to-toe with the now #2 team and the game could have gone either way. Tigers should have dropped no more than one spot.

Our D was great, but I don't know if our offense looked like a top 5 team.

The offense looked bad because uga has such a great defense and it was the first game! The exact same could be said about uga's offense, which also only scored 3 points! Should they not be ranked in the top 5 because their offense was the same as Clemson's??

It was essentially a playoff game, and it almost went to overtime. The loser of a playoff game that close would not fall past 3, let alone out of the top 5! Not to mention that a&m has a new quarterback and played a cupcake in the opener, so we know NOTHING about them. And oklahoma looked WAY worse than Clemson against a weak opponent at home!
