The Gamecocks have been off for 10 days, and the Tigers of course had to travel all the way back from Miami on Saturday night. Not sure if that will be much of an advantage for them, but they will be well rested.

Not to jinx it, but this is a game the Tigers really should win here in Littlejohn. The Gamecocks are kind of in rebuilding mode after losing their 2 best players, Sindarius Thornwell and P.J. Dozier, from last year's Final Four team. And keep in mind that the Tigers won last year's meeting in Columbia.

Hoping for a big crowd here in Littlejohn!

ACC Player of the Week Marcquise Reed is not only in the 1,000 point club, he's also one of the best free throw shooters in Clemson history!

CUTrevor 2017-12-20 00:27:21

Tigers are up 12-6 early. Biggest crowd we've had here at Littlejohn, but there are surprisingly still a lot of empty seats. I know it's a Tuesday night and the game is televised, but I expected a nearly full house with the Tigers off to their best start in years and on the verge of their first ranking since 2010! Not to mention they're playing the Gamecocks.

The football team is well represented. I'll have video of their entrance posted in a minute.

All-American Clelin Ferrell, Dex Lawrence and Tee Higgins join their teammates!

CUTrevor 2017-12-20 00:40:06

Tigers lead 28-21 with under 2 mins left in the half.  Reed has 7 points, Mitchell 6.

Tigers got hosed by the ref just before halftime. Terrible foul call on Donnal that was a charge if anything. Gamecocks only made one of two at the line, though, and the Tigers lead 31-26 at the half. It was a sloppy first half. 10 turnovers by the Tigers, 8 by the Gamecocks.

Ugh Grantham just picked up his 3rd foul less than a minute into the half. He will be on the bench for a while. Sims into the game for him.

Nice no-look pass from Reed to DeVoe for a layup! Tigers lead by 7 with under 15 mins left.

CUTrevor 2017-12-20 01:15:51

Another no-look to Eli for a layup! Tigers lead by 9.

CUTrevor 2017-12-20 01:24:43

All-American Tyrone Crowder, Hunter Renfrow, Will Swinney and Will Spiers in the house!

Kelly B makes his entrance:

Reed for 3 on a nice baseline drive and kick by Simms! Tigers lead by 11 with under 12 to play, and this place just got loud.

CUTrevor 2017-12-20 01:31:59

Steal and transition dunk by Mitchell! Tigers lead by 13 with 9:33 left and the ball.

CUTrevor 2017-12-20 01:34:41

DeVoe for 3! Tigers lead by 14!

CUTrevor 2017-12-20 01:38:59

Tigers up by 14 again after a pair of Reed free throws.

CUTrevor 2017-12-20 01:44:55

Eli just got the place rocking again with a dunk, and DeVoe follows it with a 3! Largest leads of game for Tigers, up 16 with 4:30 left.

CUTrevor 2017-12-20 01:49:01

Reed pushes the lead to 18 with 3:30 left! I'm headed down to the court. Will have post-game interviews posted in a bit!
