Tony Elliott interviewing for UVA job

He had his first in-person interview for the head coach job at UVA today. I have no idea whether he'll take the job, but remember that he was offered the Tennessee job last year and turned it down. And that was a much better job than this one, and he wouldn't have been competing with Dabo and Clemson in the ACC. It's much tougher to recruit at UVA than it is at Tennessee. If I'm Tony, knowing the offense will be much better next season, I would stay at Clemson and get my stock back up. Then he should get better offers next year or the following year. But who knows, maybe Tony is ready to take the next step and is worried it's now or never. If he does leave, Dabo might promote QB Coach Brandon Streeter or look elsewhere. Chad Morris might even be a possibility. Stay tuned as this develops!
