It's a matchup of the last 2 ACC regular season champs! Cagle and the Tigers look for revenge against the Hokies, who swept them in Clemson back in early March. Cagle gave up 11 runs in 10 innings pitched in that series. Fortunately, the Tigers won't have to face All-American pitcher Keely Rochard, but Emma Lemley is almost as good and shut the Tigers out when they faced her last. LOGOLEO 2-OUT HR ON FULL COUNT!!! Tigers strike first 1-0! Second HR in consecutive days for the Tigers' All-ACC shortstop, who incidentally dates WR Beaux Collins. The Tigers hit 3 homers against Notre Dame yesterday.

Grounder ends the game! TIGERS WIN 4-1!!! Wow! The Tigers were swept at home by the Hokies in early March and just 1-5 against them in the last 2 seasons. Regardless of what happens tomorrow, this win has to give them the confidence that they can win a natty! Logoleo hit 2 HR's today after hitting the game-tying HR yesterday. Cagle didn't allow a hit until the 5th. The Tigers will face the winner of No.3 FSU and No.7 Duke tomorrow at 1:00 on ACCN. I'll have my exclusive post-game interviews posted shortly! |
