Tigers lead 4-1 after 4! BC took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 3rd after Anglin gave up a leadoff double, but Grice hit a leadoff HR in the bottom half, and Ingle drove in a run on a 2-out single. Nice to have Ingle back after missing a week with an injured forearm! The Tigers added 2 more runs in the 4th on a 2-out double by Grice and a single by Blackwell. Grice has been struggling lately but not tonight! Freshman catcher Reed Garris is behind the plate. Looked like French pulled a hamstring running to 1st in his first at bat. Duke lost at VA Tech, as I expected, so the Tigers can clinch a spot in the ACC Tournament with a win tomorrow! Anglin pitched 7 innings. Just the 3rd time all season a pitcher has done that for the Tigers. He pitched 7 against Tech 2 weeks ago, and Hoffmann pitched 7 against Northeastern 2 months ago. Wagner was 2-4 w/ 25th HR, just one behind national HR leader Melendez. Grice was 3-4 w/ HR, double. Hawkins was 2-4 w/ HR, 3 RBI's. Ingle was 3-4 w/ 3 RBI's after missing a week w/ arm injury.
