Layup puts Iowa up 7 again and Tigers turn it over on the final possession of the half. TIGERS TRAIL 34-27 AT THE HALF. They played pretty well defensively, other than giving up 8 offensive rebounds that led to 11 points, and limited their star Kris Murray to just 4 points, but the offense struggled. Hunter was on the bench for most of the final 9 minutes with 2 fouls, and Hall played just 5 minutes with no points! Hunter Tyson was also scoreless, so 2 of their top 3 scorers have yet to score. They also had 7 turnovers, which is too many. Amazing they're only down 7! Gotta get the offense going. |

Iowa makes both free throws. Tigers throw the Hail Mary pass but don't get a shot off. TIGERS LOSE 74-71. Valiant come back by the Tigers! Just too little offense for the first 30 minutes. They showed a lot of grit and hear though, just like the buzzer beater loss in Columbia after they trailed by 7 at the half. This is a good team! Just gotta put 40 minutes together on the road. Hall only played 13 minutes and was held scoreless I believe for the first time in his career! Hunter was sensational in the second half but missed almost half of the first half with 2 fouls. That probably made the difference! Tigers will play the loser of TCU and Cal tomorrow at 4:00, probably Cal. I'll have post-game interviews in a bit! |
