Bresee and Henry declare for NFL Draft; XT, Tyler Davis, Ruke, Jones and Phillips all returning (UPDATED)

He is a top-10 overall prospect. It's a shame he had such a difficult final season at Clemson with the loss of his sister and the kidney infection. That really affected his production but apparently not his draft stock.

Murphy and Simpson had already declared for the draft, and we should find about Henry, Davis, Ruke and Ngata soon.

KJ Henry will enter the draft as well. That's kind of a disappointment because he hinted about coming back to Clemson a couple weeks ago and again in Miami. I suspect his roommate, Tyler Davis, will go to the NFL as well.

The Tigers are still in great shape on the defensive interior with freshman 5-star DT Peter Woods coming in as well as a 4-star DT. And they have (hopefully) Ruke, Page, Capeheart and Reuben all returning. At end, Mascoll is returning, and I'm really hoping XT will return! We might see Dabo go to the portal for a DE.

As of now, it's Murphy, Simpson, Allen, Bresee and Henry leaving. Still waiting on XT, Tyler Davis, Ruke, Ngata, Phillips and Sheridan Jones.

XT is coming back next season! That's like a 6-star recruit. He and Mascoll will start at DE, and hopefully Tyler Davis and Ruke will return in the middle along with freshman Peter Woods. If Davis and/or Ruke leave, they'll have Page and Capeheart at DT. Thomas said he wants to come back and lead this team to another natty!

NOTE: Ngata has accepted an invitation to play in the NFLPA Bowl at the end of the month. He can still decide to return to Clemson before then, but if he plays in the game, he will not. The deadline to declare for the draft is January 16.
