The Tigers took game one last night 5-2! Great job by Gordon against one of the top offenses in the nation. Ingle took the first pitch from the Gamecocks out to left for his team-leading 3rd HR of the season. Freshman Cam Cannarella continued his hitting tear, going 3-4 at the plate. He is now batting .459, and has hit safely in all 9 games to start his career! Sophomore Gavin Abrams hit a late pinch-hit solo HR. He has just 2 at bats this season, both of them pinch-hits, and he's 2-2! The Tigers' starting pitcher will be a game-time decision. First pitch is at 1:00, and I'll have live coverage from Greenville right here! |

We’re almost underway on a beautiful day here in Greenville! Outstanding crowd! Tristan Smith will get his first start on the mound, and Gavin Abrams will make his first career start at DH. He is 2-2 this season, both pinch hits, and hit a homer late last night.

Ugh Abrams grounds out to end the game. TIGERS LOSE 11-9. Crazy game! In the end, walks and hit batters were the difference. Tigers had just 3 last night but 10 today, and they cost them several runs. That’s what plagued them during the 4-game losing streak last week and it but them again today. The loss snapped a 5-game win streak over the Gamecocks. Rubber match is 1:30 tomorrow Cola! I’ll have post-game interviews posted shortly. |
