The Tigers are coming off a crazy 5-4 loss at Liberty in which they led 4-1 going into the 7th. Cagle showed for the first time this season that she is human, walking in 2 runs in the 7th and giving up the game-winning single. Let's hope that got them fired up for this series! They probably need to sweep this weekend and win the ACC Tournament now to host a Super. And that's easier said than done. The Hokies have had the Tigers' number, sweeping them at McWhorter last season. Fortunately, All-American pitcher Rochard is gone, but they still have a good one in Lemley. First pitch is at 4:00, and I'll have live updates right here! |

UN...BE...LIEVABLE!!! Cagle gives up a 3-run walk-off HR with 2 outs! That was EXACTLY like Wednesday night! Suddenly Cagle has developed a choking problem in the 7th! She took a 4-1 lead into the 7th on Wednesday and blew it. 4-0 lead today and blew it. You can't make this stuff up! TIGERS LOSE 5-4. The damn Hokies have the Tigers' number! That's 6 straight regular season losses to the Hokies, although the Tigers beat them in the ACC Tourney last season. Not only does that hurt the Tigers' chances of hosting a Super, but that's two straight big leads in the 7th Cagle has blown. Hope it doesn't cost her National Player of the Year! Game 2 will begin in about 45 minutes. |
