Tigers are riding a 13-game win streak and have won 18 of 19! They won 2 of 3 against the Eagles up at BC about a month ago and will probably face the pitcher, West, that beat them 3-1. The Tigers have virtually locked up a top 8 NCAA seed already.

UVA lost 10-2 to UNC yesterday, so the winner of this game will face the Heels, who the Tigers swept last week, in the ACC Semifinal on Saturday! That means the Tigers have an easier path to the ACC Championship, and it also solidifies their top 8 seed even more because UVA is a top 10 team competing for one of those spots.

First pitch is at 11:00 on ACCN, and I'll have live coverage right here!

Tigers will bat 2nd today, and Saturday starter Austin Gordon will be on the mound. A little surprising because he was the one weekend starter who lost up at BC a month ago 3-1, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks in 6.2 innings. For some reason, the Tigers never score runs when he in on the mound, which is why he has several no-decisions and not a good record. Maybe Bakich didn't want to put a freshman on the mound in Friday starter Ethan Darden, but he will have to be on the big stage tomorrow if the Tigers win today.

CRIGHTON DOUBLE!! Tigers lead 4-0! Boy, Crighton has really been hitting when he's gotten his chances. He was expected to be a regular starter at the beginning of the season but was hitless for about 2 months until about the end of April. TIGERS WIN 4-1, ADVANCE TO ACC SEMIFINAL!!!

Tigers have won 14 straight and 19 of last 20! They will face UNC, who they swept last week, in the Semifinal tomorrow at 1:00. Bakich told us after the game that Grice will be the mound tomorrow. He has been the Tigers' best starter on Sundays over the last month, and it would have been fun to see him go up against No.1 Wake in the championship on Sunday, but since it's win or go home tomorrow, Bakich is going with his best.
