Live from McWhorter Stadium in Clemson, its the Tigers taking on the NOrth Carolina Tar heels in Acc play. It's not a homecoming for Alex Brown but it is a reunion of sorts as she faces her former team for the first time since transferring to Clemson. First pitch is at 6:00 pm. Leading off the top of the 1st for North Carolina Alex Coleman

Lays down a bunt to start the game and beautifully executed for the first out of the game. That will bring Skyler Brooks to the plate.

Brooks hits one back to the pitcher and just like that, two pitches and two outs. That will bring Sanaa Thompson to the plate.

Thompson grounder to third for a one, two, three inning. We move to the bottom of the 1st, Tigers coming to bat.

Leading off the bottom of the 1st for the TIgers, Alex Brown.

Brown with the lead off home run. Well if you were expecting any emotion from facing her former team, you just got it. A shot over the right field wall. That will bring Arielle Oda to the plate.

Oda A slow roller off the handle of the bat for an infield single. That will bring McKenzie Clark to the plate.

Clark goes down on strikes for the 1st out in the inning bringing Alia Logoleo to the plate.

Logoleo with a bloop single into left field. Runners on first and second bringing Maddie Moore to the plate.

Moore draws a walk and the bases are loaded for Aby Vieira.

Vieira A fly ball to left field scores Clark. That brings Lindsey Garcia to the plate.

Garcia A fly ball to right field and North Carolina dodges a major bullet. The Tigers get 2 runs on 3 hits.

Leading off the top of the 2nd for North Carolina Abby Settlemyre.

Settlemyre with a line drive into right field played nicely by Ariella Oda for the first out in the inning. That brings Autumn Owen to the plate.

Owen goes down on strikes. That was a great pitch sequence by Spencer. At the plate for UNC, Destiny Middleton.

Middleton with a grounder back to the pitcher and its another one, two, three inning for UNC.

Leading off the bottom of the 2nd for the TIgers, Grace Hiller.

Hiller A popup to the right fielder for the first out in the inning. That will bring Kylee Johnson to the plate.

Johnson gets all of that one and then some. WOW! A deep shot over the left field wall and when it left the bat, even the left fielder for UNC didn't even bother to turn around. That quickly causes UNC to make a pitching change as Britton Rogers is in to now pitch for the Tarheels.

At the plate for the Tigers Alex Brown who deposited her first pitch she saw into the right field parking lot.

Brown with a base hit into center field bringing Arielle Oda to the plate.

Oda goes down on strikes. That was a great pitching sequence by Rogers and that brings Clark to the plate.

Clark with the pop up to the 3rd baseman for the final out in the inning. The Tigers do get a run on Johnson's bomb deep over the left field wall.

Leading off the top of the 3rd for UNC, Isabela Emerling.

Emerling with the pop up into foul territory, nicely played by Grace Hiller for the first out in the inning. At the plate for the Tarheels, Kate Bubela.

Bubela with the grounder to Logoleo for the 2nd out in the inning bringing up Carsyn Snead.

Snead breaks up the no hitter with a soft liner into left field bringing up Alex Coleman.

Coleman with a dribbler back to the pitcher. It was mishandled and runners should have been on first and 2nd but the UNC runner on first left early and the Tigers get out of the inning.

Leading off the bottom of the 3rd for the Tigers Alia Logoleo.

Logoleo with a line shot into right field for the first out in the inning. At the plate for the Tigers, Maddie Moore

Moore draws a walk bringing Aby Vieira to the plate.

Vieira with a bloop single into right field just outside the diving reach of short stop Abby Settlemyre for UNC and heads up base running by both Vieira and Moore. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs bringing Garcia to the plate.

Garcia Garcia with the fly ball to left field as Moore tags to score and Vieira advances to 3rd. That brings us Grace Hiller.

Hiller off the end of the bat roller to the 1st baseman. The Tigers score another run.

Leading off the top of the 4th for the Tarheels Alex Coleman.

Coleman foller back to the first baseman for the first out in the inning. At the plate for the Tarheels, Skyler Brooks

Brooks shot back to Spencer for the 2nd out in the inning. That will bring Sanaa Thompson.

Thompson a great back hand by Alex Brown at 3rd base and it was a one, two, three inning. 

Leading off the bottom of the 4th for the Tigers Kylee Johnson.

Johnson with her 2nd home run on the day. This one was deposited over the right center field wall. That will bring Alex Brown who has had a masterful game against her former team.

Brown pops it up to the 2nd baseman for the 1st out in the inning bringing Arielle Oda to the plate.

Oda grounder to the 2nd baseman for the 2nd out of the inning bringing McKenzie Clark to the plate.

Clark line drive into right field, nicely played by the right fielder. The Tigers continue to put runs on the board.

Leading off the top of the 5th for the Tarheels Abby Settlemyre.

Settlemyre popup to centerfield , Mckemzie Clark hauls it in for the 1st out in the inning bringing Autumn Owen to the plate.

Owen with the shot to Brown at 3rd base who just continues to be masterful tonight against her former team. Nice backhand for the 2nd out in the inning. That brings Middleton to the plate.

Middleton with the infield single, bringing Isabela Emerling to the plate.

Emerling with the popup to Logoleo for the 2rd out in the inning.

Leading off the bottom of the 5th for the Tigers Alia Logoleo.

Logoleo grounder to the 2nd baseman for the first out in the inning. That brings Maddie Moore to the plate.

Moore fly ball to center field for the 2nd out in the inning bringing up Aby Vieira.

Vieira with a pop up to the short stop and its a quick one, two, three inning for the Tigers.

Leading off the top of the 6th for UNC Kate Bubela

Bubela goes down on strikes bringing Carsyn Snead to the plate.

Snead strikes out bringing Alex Coleman to the plate.

Coleman with a soft liner into left center field. That will bring Brooks to the plate for the Tarheels.

Brooks with the perfectly laid down bunt and the Tarheels have runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs. Thompson at the plate for the Tarheels

Thompson with the grounder to Logoleo and Logoleo ends any threat with the 3rd out in the inning. 

Leading off the bottom of the 6th for the Tigers, Lindsey Garcia.

Garcia with a line drive base hit into left field. That will bring Grace Hiller to the plate.

Pinch hitting for HIller will be Abi Stuart

Stuart at the plate and Julia Bomhardt is pinch running Garcia.

Stuart goes down looking on strikes and that brings Kylee Johnson to the plate.

Johson at the plate and Bomhardt stole 2nd and the play is under review for leaving too early. Replay show she didn't leave early so this call should stand.

Runner is safe so the Tigers have a runner on 2nd with Kylee Johnson at the plate.

Johnson with a shot down the 3rd base line and the third baseman couldn't handle it. She was charged with a error and the Tigers have runners on first and second with one out, bringing Alex Brown to the plate.

Brown Brown with the fielder choice 4 to 6 put out. Runners on first and third with 2 outs bringing Arielle Oda to the plate.

Oda takes ball 2 and runners are now on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. 

Oda with the grounder to 2nd base and the Tarheels escape without giving up a run.

Leading off the top of the 7th for UNC Abby Settlemyre.

Settylemyre with a shot to the left center field wall for a lead off double. Clark was playiing very shallow. That brings Autumn Owen to the plate.

Owen with the groun der to the first baseman for the first out in the inning. Moving Settlemyre over to third. That brings Middleton to the plate.

Middleton Grounder to Brown for the 2nd out of the inning. She kept Settlemyre at 3rd hoping to preserve the shut out, bringing Emerling to the plate.

Emerling fittingly lines out to Alex Brown at 3rd base to end the game and preserve the shut out.
