The Tigers look to make the Elite 8 for the second time in school history tonight! The Tigers came very close in their last two Sweet 16 appearances. They lost a nail-biter to Kansas in 2018 in what was virtually a home game for the Jayhawks in Omaha. Before that, Rick Barnes lost an overtime game against Minnesota in the Sweet 16. The Tigers' only Elite 8 appearance was in 1980 under Bill Foster. Like the Kansas game in 2018, this will be a big home crowd for Arizona in LA. Tip is at 7:10 EST, and I will be broadcasting my Tiger T-Bone Show live on the PSF (Pro Sports Fans) app with my cohost Aggie Dave. TIGERS WIN 77-72!!! CLEMSON HEADING TO ELITE 8 FOR 2ND TIME EVER!!! What a three-game run! The Tigers will play either UNC or Bama, each of whom the Tigers beat on the road this season. Sexy rematch either way! My PSF broadcasts are now 10-2, beginning with the win at Chapel Hill. If the Heels win, the Tigers will have to beat the top 3 seeds in succession to win the region and advance to their first-ever Final Four! That would be poetic, especially going through UNC to do it. I'll have post-game interviews and more in a bit!  |
