OFFICIAL ELITE EIGHT THREAD: NO.6 CLEMSON vs. No.4 Alabama

It's a rematch of the ACC/SEC Challenge, won by the Tigers in Tuscaloosa! Coincidentally, the two teams will be playing for the right to go to Glendale, AZ for their first-ever Final Four. That is where Clemson and Bama met for the 2015 National Championship in 2015! I have been there 3 times for the College Football Playoff and hope to go back next week.

My cohost Aggie Dave and I will be broadcasting the Tiger T-Bone Show live on the PSF (Pro Sports Fans) app again. Download the FREE app on your phone or tablet to watch the hilarious entertainment while you have the game on TV! Tip is at 8:49 EST in LA.

As always, I will have post-game interviews and stats posted here as well.

TIGERS LOSE 89-82.

Ugh I knew this game was going to come down to how hot Alabama was from the arc, and the way they shot tonight would probably have beaten anyone. The Tide were 10-15 from the arc in the second half! Sears was incredible in the 2nd half. And yet the Tigers still scored 82 points, and the game was still within reach with under a minute left. What also did the Tigers in was their free throw shooting. The Tigers were a great free throw team all season, but tonight they weren't. They were just 50 percent at the free throw line, and that was the difference in the game. They have been perfect at the line in a few games this season, and if they were close to perfect at the line tonight, they would have won. Ian had a fantastic game but had some big misses at the free throw line. Also, Hall fouled out with 3:30 left! Who knows what might have happened if he hadn't fouled out.

In the final analysis, it simply was Alabama's night, and they have made their first Final Four ever instead of the Tigers. However, there is absolutely no shame in that. The Tigers can hold their heads high because it was one hell of a historic season! Just the second Elite Eight in 112 years of Clemson Basketball. I'm so happy for PJ, Chase and Joe to finish their careers with a historic run in the tournament.

It's on to baseball! The No.2 Tigers lost game one in Miami 3-2 on a 2-run HR in the 9th but won the next game 3-2 and posted their first shutout of the season, 7-0 in the rubber match! So the reigning ACC Champs have won each of their first 3 ACC series of the season!

Also, I'll have coverage of the Orange & White Game, live from Death Valley next Saturday, right here!

I'll have post-game interviews posted shortly!
