Good afternoon I am live at Doug Kingsmore Stadium for the 3rd game of the weekend series against GT. This is the rubber match as the Tigers look to take the series. First pitch will be at 1:02pm

Starting Lineups

Leading off the top of the 1st for the Yellow Jackets, Trey Yunger

Yunger with a basehit into right field and that will bring Burress to the plate.

Yunger steals 2nd with no throwdown

Burress draws a walk and just like that Georgia Tech has the first two batters on base.

Ellis at the plate

Ellis goes down on strikes for the 1st out in the inning and that will bring Cam Jones to the plate.

A throw back to 2nd gets away into centerfield and the runners move up to 2nd and 3rd.

Jones goes down on strikes for the 2nd out in the inning and that brings Giesler to the plate. Would be huge here if Knaak gets out of the inning giving up no runs

Giesler strikes out on a check swing and Knaak and the TIgers dodge a early bullet.

Leading off the bottom of the 1st for the Tigers, Alden Mathes

Mathes with the grounder off the end of the bat for the first out in the inning bringing Jacob Hinderleider to the plate.

Hinderleider strikes on a check swing and that brings Blake Wright to the plate.

Wright with the fly ball to centerfield for the final out in the bottom for the 1st.

Leading off the top of the 2nd for GT Payton Green

Green just launched the ball out into the left field parking lot. Good Grief! At the plate for GT, Bobby Zmarziak

Zmarziak goes down on strikes and that will bring Becchetti to the plate.

Becchetti goes down on strikes and that's Knaak 5th strikeout on the day. That will bring Lackey to the plate.

Lackey with the grounder for the 5-3 put out but GT gets a run on a bomb deposited into the left field parking lot.

Leading off the bottom of the 2nd for the Tigers, Cam Cannarella

Cannarella draws a leadoff walk to start the bottom of the 2nd and that brings Obertop to the plate.

The ball gets away from the catcher and Cannarella moves up to 2nd base on the passed ball.

The pitching coach for GT is out to the mound for a visit

Obertop with a shot into the left field corner and a RBI double and that brings Bissetta to the plate.

Bissetta with a shot into right field and slides into 2nd base easily for another RBI double and that brings Crighton to the plate.

Crighton goes down on strikes and that will bring Nolan Nawrocki to the plate.

Nawrocki with the grounder to the 3rd baseman for the 5-3 put out and the 2nd out in the inning. That brings Jarren Purify to the plate.

Purify gets caught looking on an inside pitch called strike 3 but the Tigers get 2 runs on 2 hits.

Leading off the top of the 3rd for GT, Trey Yunger

Yunger with the fly ball to centerfield and Cannarella hauls it in for the first out in the inning and that will bring Burress to the plate

Burress draws a walk and that brings Ellis to the plate.

Ellis with a mile high pop up to right field for the 2nd out in the inning. That will bring Cam Jones to the plate.

Wild pitch but a great recovery by Obertop to make the throw and instead of the 3rd out in the inning, the ball is dropped.

Jones drew a walk and that will bring the Clemson pitching coach out to the mound d for a conversation.

Giesler at the plate for GT

Giesler with the check swing strike out and that will end the inning.

Leading off the bottom of the 3rd for the Tigers, Alden Mathes

Mathes with the grounder to the 2nd baseman for the first out in the inning. GT was playing a shift so the ball was actually fielded into short right field. Hinderleider at the plate for the Tigers.

Hinderleider with the Deep fly ball into left center field for the 2nd out in the inning and that will bring Wright to the plate.

Wright draws a walk and that brings Cam Cannarella to the plate.

Obertop pops it up and the 2nd baseman hauls it in for the 3rd out in the inning, The Tigers do get a run on Cannarella's triple.

Leading off the top of the 4th for GT, Payton Green

The umpires are out talking to Danny Hall, not sure what the issue is but we have a delay and now the umpires disperse.

Green goes down on strikes and that brings Zmarziak to the plate.

Zmarziak with a grounder to 3rd for the 5-3 put out bringing Becchetti to the plate.

Becchetti with the fly ball to right field and its a quick 1,2,3 inning for GT.

Leading of the bottom of the 4th for the Tigers, Tristan Bissetta

Bissetta with a base hit up the middle and that brings Crighton to the plate.

Crighton with a shot that was just inches foul down the left field line

Crighton with a hard grounder to the short stop who had trouble with the back hand and the Tigers have runners on 1st and 2nd. Nawrocki comes to the plate for the Tigers.

Bakich has called the hitter and the runners over for a conversation and in this scenario we have seen either a executed bunt or some type of surprise squeeze play. We shall see.

Nawrocki with the green light and he delivers a RBI single into left field and that brings Jarren Purify to the plate.

Purify with the great bunt and GT was able to get the lead runner but let me tell you now, it was a great play by the catcher. At the plate for the Tigers, Alden Mathes as Danny Hall is out at the mound to make a pitching change for the Yellow Jackets. They will bring Brett Barfield to pitch.

Alden Mathes will be at the plate when Barfield is done warming up.

Mathes with the fly ball to center field and it was just deep enough to advance both runner. Jacob Hinderleider at the plate.

Danny Hall back to the mound for another pitching change as Georgia Tech will bring in Ben King. This is the 3rd pitcher for GT. 

Hinderleider with the 3-run shot and that I am sure is not what Danny Hall had in mind with the pitching change. At the plate for the Tigers, Blake Wright.

Wright goes down on strikes but the Tigers get 4 runs on 4 hits. 

That will end the day for Knaak as Billy Barlow is now the pitcher for the Tigers.

Leading off the top of the 5th for GT Lackey

Lackey with the grounder to the short stop for the 6-3 put out and that brings Yunger to the plate.

Yunger with the grounder to the 1st baseman and its a quick 2 outs for Barlow. At the plate for GT, Drew Burress

Burresswith a base hit into right field and that will bring Matthew Ellis to the plate.

Ellis draws a walk as Burress steals 2nd and on the throw down it sailed into v=center field allowing Burress to advance to 3rd. At the plate for GT, Cam Jones

Jones with the grounder to short for the 6-4 put out and end the inning.

Another pitching change for Georgia Tech is Mason Patel. This is the 4th pitcher for Georgia Tech and he will face Cam Cannarella.

Cannarella with a shot into the right field corner and another stand up double. At the plate for the Tigers, Jimmy Obertop.

Obertop with the fly ball to center field and Cannarella makes his way over to 2rd base as Tristan Bissetta makes his way to the plate.

Bieestta draws a walk and with runners on first and third, Jack Crighton makes his way to the plate.

Crighton with the fly ball to right field and that will bring Cannarella home and that brings Nawrocki to the plate.

Nawrocki goes down on strikes to end the inning but the Tigers add another run for the 4th inning in a row.

Leading off the top of the 6th for GT, Giesler

Giesler goes down on strikes and that will bring Green to the plate.

Green with the fly ball to left field and that brings Parker Brosius to the plate.

Brosius goes down on strikes. It wasn't a quick inning for Barlow but it was a 1,2,3 inning.

A new pitcher for GT is Dawson Brown

Leading off the bottom of the 6th for the tigers, Jarren Purify

Purify is hit by the first pitch he sees and that brings Alden Mathes to the plate and again I am sure that is not what Danny Hall had in mind in hitting the lead off guy and putting him on base.

Purify steals 2nd on a passed ball.

Mathes hits it a mile high and the right fielder gets under it for the 1st out in the inning bringing Hinderleider to the plate.

Purify steals 3rd twice lol and this will be under replay but he looked safe on both ends. Purify was originally safe but slid through the bag and had to dive back to the bag. He is definitely safe on both accounts.

The umpires was on top of the call and I don't see anything that would over turn this call. The call is safe.

Hinderleider draws a walk and Blake Wright walks to the plate.

Wright with the drive to center field and that is another run across the plate bringing hot hitting Cam Cannarella to the plate.

 Hinderleider with the stolen base and overthrow moves him up to 3rd.

Cannarella goes down on strikes to end the inning.

Leading off the top of the 7th for Georgia Tech Mike Becchetti

Becchetti goes down on strikes and that's the 10th strike out for Tigers pitching today and that brings Lackey to the plate.

Lackey puts a charge into it and Cannarella tracks it down on the terrace for the 2nd out in the inning and that brings Yunger to the plate.

Yunger with the slow roller back to the pitcher and that was a quick 1,2,3 inning.

Leading off the bottom for the 7th for the Tigers Jimmy Obertop

Another new pitcher for Georgia Tech, Demitri Diamant

Obertop puts a charge into the ball into left field for the first out in the inning. The kid who made the foul ball catch just a few minutes ago if you have the video you should send it to ESPn #Sportscentertop10

At the plate for the Tigers Tristan Bissetta

Bissetta with the ground out to the 2nd baseman bringing Crighton to the plate.

Crighton flies out to center field and that was a quick 1,2,3 inning for the Tigers.

Leading off the top of the 8th for GT, Drew Burress

Burress lifts one to left field and one pitch and one out to start the top of the 8th. That will bring Matthew Ellis to the plate.

Ellis flies out to right field and just like that 2 pitches, 2 outs bringing Cam Jones to the plate.

Jones hit by a pitch bringing Giesler to the plate.

Giesler with a fly ball to right field and 4 pitches and the Tigers get out of the inning.

Leading off the top of the 9th for Gt, Payton Green

Green with the blooper into centerfield and that will bring Brosius to the plate.

Brosius with a 2-run bomb over the centerfield wall and as bad as I hate to say it, for some reason closing out games has been a issue. It's not just here at Clemson but across college baseball in general.  Bakich is out to talk to Barlow and company and it will bring on a pitching change as Jacob McGovern is on to pitch for the Tigers.

Becchetti goes down on a strike 3 call that honestly wasn't needed as the previous pitch was a beautiful curve that I think caught the umpires off guard. Either way, its the first out in the inning as Lackey stand at the plate for GT
