SEC Semifinalist Vandy was upset today by Coastal 13-3, which makes tonight's game even more important! The Tigers don't want to face their nemesis Tim Corbin and Vandy in an elimination game tomorrow.

As a former umpire, I can tell you that a tie doesn't always go to the runner. In the rule book it is a judgement call. As you can see, we have a replay that really takes the human element out of it and so as an umpire you have to accept the good with the bad. It doesn't mean that the umpire is wrong when a call gets oveturned. It means that in real time and being in the correct position to make the call, that the call you made is what you saw with your eyes as the play was developing in real time.
