Live from Little John where we are less than an hour away from tip off between Clemson and #4 Kentucky. The Wildcats are undefeated while Clemson is sporting a 7-1 record with its only loss was on the road at Boise State. Kentucky is listed as a 1.5 favorite which is unusual for a highly ranked road team. It will be hostile and loud tonight and should be a great one. 

Butler with the foul. Clemson with the ball and looking to slow things down just a bit with a half court motion offense movement without the ball. Great game plan making Kentucky work on the defensive side of the ball.

That is the last thing Clemson needs is for Viktor to get in early foul trouble. Kentucky's length is frustrating the Tigers just a little bit. Tigers look just a little unsure at early on,

Wiggins with the 3 and the Tigers forced a turnover but were unable to convert. Tigers trail 7-5 with 16:11 to play. Kentucky has the size advantage and it is bothering the Tigers just a  bit.

The best way to counter Kentuckys size is to wear them down milking the shot clock. Make Kentucky work on the defensive side of the ball. Let's see what adjustments the Tigers make coming out of this TV timeout.

Clemson has turned up the defensive pressure and has caught Kentucky off guard for now. There is nothing you could do about that, with that being said, Clemson is making Kentucky earn every point.

Hunter with the big time shot and Clemson forced the turnover and couldn't capitalize, For those that thought Kentucky was going to walk in and run all over Clemson, you can see the frustration with Kentucky. Both teams are still feeling this game out.

Hunter with the beautiful kiss off the glass and the Tigers have tied it 19-19 with 8:07 to play first half. Tigers with a chance to take the lead as Wiggins is at the free throw line shooting two.

Just like that Kentucky goes on a 9-0 run and that forced Brownell to take a timeout and settle things down. This has been the Tigers game plan so far this season. Keep the game close in the first half and then turn it on in the 2nd half. The difference is, this is the 4th rank team in the country and the timeout seemed to help Clemson as he Tigers have answered with a 5 - 0 run of their own.

Make that a 10-0 run by the Tigers after the timeout and that forced Kentucky to take a timeout.

Kentucky is known for hitting the 3 are key moments but their half court motion offense movement without the ball is like Poetry in motion it is a thing of beauty.

Clemson closes out the first half and leads Kentucky 37-30 as the crowd comes to its first and show their appreciation for the Tigers effort in the first half. There is still 20 minutes to play will see what adjustments each team makes to start the 2nd half.

Kentucky gets the ball to start the 2nd half and they start the 2hd half just like they started the game with a 3 from the corner.

I have to give the officials credit, they are letting both teams play. 

It may be 11 o clock at night but who says the bank isn't open!

11:48 to play and Clemson leads Kentucky 51-49. Clemson has controlled the tempo and hasn't let Kentucky get out and run. Don Munson eluded to it with his keys of the game and one was not allowing Kentucky to get out into transition and score points.

Clemson just responded in a way that sent a message that they will over come and Victor with the 3 and the the offensive foul forcing a turnover and and at the 7:47 mark in the 2nd half, Clemson leads Kentucky 59-54

Zackery with the hustle and the smothering defense by Clemson has started to rattle Kentucky in this game.

Zackery is having himself a game. Why not show him for all 10 spots on sports center top 10. As Dick Vitale would say, ARE YOU SERIOUS BABY!!!!!!!!! as he completes the 3-point play and the crowd has came to its feet with 3:55 to play and the Tigers lead by 6

1:06 to play and Clemson has outplayed Kentucky but its a 40 minute game. The Tigers must continue to stay aggressive on the defensive side of the ball and make Kentucky earn it!

Tigers by 4 with 30 seconds remaining and surprised Kentucky didn't try and foul earlier in the possession. Brownell calls timeout to talk about it and make sure the Tigers are in sync on this possession. They can put the game away on this possession and so far tonight after a timeout the Tigers have executed the game plan successfully

A foul is called on Kentucky and that is the 10th team foul sending Chase Hunter to the line for 2. He nails the first one a critical 2nd free throw coming up here as Kentucky has called timeout! Hunter can seal the game up here with a made free throw.

The 2nd free throw is good and the Tigers lead by 6 and Kentucky has only one timeout left. Brownell just called timeout and so here is the situation, barring a collapse by the Tigers, they should finish this game out and seal the victory.

Thats not a bad foul there. it puts Kentucky on the line and they make the first free throw. The 2nd free throw is no good but the rebound is off of Clemson, that is not what you wanted to have happen with 14,1 seconds left and a 5 point game.

The officials are looking at the replay to see if by chance the ball may have went off of Kentucky players finger tips last as it went out of bounds. The ruling is Kentuckys ball.

Kentucky shot a air ball and managed to get the rebound and hit a 3 and with 2,2 seconds left the Tigers lead by 2 and Kentucky isout of timeouts. All the Tigers need to do is take care of the inbounds pass,

Clemson will face full court pressure here. and they get the inbounds and Chase Huinter with 2 critical free throws here that would all but end the game if he makes both.

Hunter makes the first one and the second free throw is good and the Tigers are going to beat Kentucky 70-66 handing the Wildcats their first loss on the season.
