Good afternoon from Founders Park! As I expected, McCladdie is back in the starting lineup in place of Ciufo. I wrote yesterday that I was surprised Ciufo was starting instead of McCladdie. The former has had a miserable hitting slump to start the season. He made a couple great plays yesterday at short though! Weather is sunny and not too windy, but it's going to get chilly when the sun goes down! |

Garris starts the 9th, strikes out the first two and goes 1-2-3! TIGERS SWEEP 8-2!!! 3rd sweep in 4 years over the Gamecocks! Darden was named Bob Bradley MVP, although I voted for Cam. I said that I would vote for Darden if Cam didn't get a hit with 2 outs in the 9th, but Cam did, which led to an 8-2 lead rather than 4-2. Cam also had the big double yesterday for the first run of the game and scored the second run from 2nd base with great base running. He had 2 hits on Friday as well. But I am fine with Darden winning it. He was magnificent on the mound yesterday! I'll have post-game interviews posted shortly! |
