Good evening from Dpug Kingsmore Stadium. Here is the starting Lineups for tonight's game versus Georgia.

First Pitch 8:03 PM and from the early looks of things, it will be a packed house for this midweek game. The Tigers are ranked #2 in the country and the Georgia Bulldogs are ranked #10. Should be an electric atmosphere. 

Update from Tennessee, the Lady Tigers lead the #1 ranked Volunteers 3-1 in the top of the 6th inning.

Cade Klubnik will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch for tonight's contest.

The weather right now is cloudy and overcast but for now there is no rain.

Leading off the top of the first for Georgia, Slate Alford

Alford goes down on strikes and that will bring up Robbie Burnett

Burnett goes down on a great breaking pitch that froze him and that will bring Ryland Zabrowski to the plate

Zabrowski grounds out and it is a 1,2,3 top of the first for the Tigers. 

Leading off the bottom of the first for the Tigers, Dominic Listi

Update from Knoxville, free softball as the Tigers and the Volunteers are in extra innings tied 3-3

Listi is hit by a pitch that honestly just got away from the pitcher and that brings Cam Cannarella to the plate

Cannarella goes down on strikes with a swing and tip into the catchers glove and that will bring Jarren Purify to the plate.

Purify lines it right into the 3rd basemans glove, Listi managed to get back to the bag and that will bring Collin Priest to the plate

Priest sends a shot into the right field corner scoring Purify and Priest ends up with a triple and the Tiger draw first blood in the bottom of the first. That will bring Jacob Jarrell to the plate

There was a mention about some things being added to baseball that you would normally see on Saturdays at the football stadium and one addition is the cannon. Every time the Tigers score, the cannon goes off

Jarrell draws a walk and the Tigers have runners on first and third bringing Jack Crighton to the plate

Crighton draws a walk and the bases are loaded for Josh Paino

Paino grounds out to the 3rd baseman but the Tigers do get a run. 

Leading off the top of the 2nd for Georgia, Daniel Jackson

Update from Knoxville, the Lady Tigers just took a 4-3 lead but a call is being challenged  in the top of the 9th.

Jackson got challenged and Bell blew the fastball by him for the first out in the inning and that will bring Tre Phelps to the plate.

Phelps with the fly ball to right field and Crighton hauls it in for the 2nd out in the inning and that will bring Kolby Branch to the plate

Branch goes down on a strike 3 call and its another 1,2,3 inning for the Tigers.

Leading off the bottom of the 2nd for the Tigers, Luke Gaffney

Update from Knoxville, Tennessee apparently is challenging a 2nd time about a Clemson runner leaving early. I am not sure what that is all about but right now the Lady Tigers hold a 4-3 lead. Apparently they lost both challenges.

Gaffney draws a leadoff walk and that brings Andrew Cuifo to the plate

Cuifo lays down a bunt and nearly beats the throw but he does his job and moves Gaffney over to 2nd and that will bring Listi to the plate

Listi with the RBI triple sent to the center field wall and that will bring Cannarella to the plate

Cannarella with a flare to left field for the 2nd out in the inning and that will bring Purify to the plate

Purify goes down on strikes and he has to be careful arguing the previous call that was a ball. The Tigers do get another run. We move to the top of the 3rd.

Leading off the top of the 3rd for Georgia, Devin Obee

Obee grounder to the 3rd baseman, Paino for the 1st out in the inning and that brings Henry Hunter to the plate.

Hunter with the Deep fly ball to center field and Cannarella hauls it in for the 2nd out in the inning. People were holding their breath there to see if we were hoping to get another top 10 sports center moment from Cam. That will bring Nolan McCarthy to the plate

McCarthy gets Georgia's first hit into right field on the night and that will; bring Alford to the plate

Update from Knoxville, the Lady Tigers go on the road and take down the #1 ranked Tennessee Volunteers 4-3 in 9 innings. What a win for John Rittman and the Lady Tigers

Alford draws a walk and Georgia has runners on first and second and that will bring Burnett to the plate.

Burnett gets the groundout off the end of the bat and the Tigers get out of the inning.

Leading off the bottom of the 3rd for the Tigers, Priest

Priest goes down on strikes and that will bring Jarrell to the plate

Jarrell with the base hit into left field and that will bring Crighton to the plate

Crighton hits into the 6-4-3 double play and we are 1/3 of the way through this top 10 matchup

Leading off the top of the 4th for Georgia, Zaborowski

Zaborowski goes down on strikes to start the top of the 4th for Georgia and that will bring Jackson to the plate

Jackson with the line drive fly ball to right field for the 2nd out in the inning and that will bring Phelps to the plate

Phelps draws a walk and that will bring Branch to the plate

Branch with a base hit into left field and Georgia has runners on first and second with 2 outs and that will bring Obee to the plate

This may do it for Bell on the night who was stellar the first 3 innings. McGovern will now take over for Bell. He gets a nice round of applause from the Clemson faithful as he exits the game.

Obeefaces two pitches and flies out to center field and we move to the bottom of the 4th. Here is the great tradition as Lee Greenwood GOD BLESS THE USA  and the Tigers run up into stands to shake the veterans hands. I am in the press box so I cant participate but it still is pretty cool to see.

Gaffney goes down on strikes and that will bring Cuifo to the plate

Leading off the top of the 5th for Georgia, Hunter

Hunter with the leadoff double with a shot into the right field corner and that will bring McCarthy to the plate

McCarthy is hit by the first pitch he sees and just like that Georgia has runners on first and second with nobody out and that will bring out the Tiger pitching coach for a conversation. At the plate for Georgia, Alford

Alford with the fly ball to center field and Cannarella hauls it in. That will move the runner to third. First and third with one out and that brings Burnett to the plate

Burnett goes down on strikes and that was huge. At the plate for Georgia, Zabrowski

Zaborowski with the fly ball to left center and Listi chases it down and the Tigers dodge a bullet there.

Leading off the bottom of the 5th for the Tigers, as Georgia brings in their 3rd pitcher on the night, Listi

Listi goes down on strikes and once again Tiger batters have something to say to the umpire and that will bring Cannarella to the plate

Cannarella hits the grounder to the first baseman and because of the hustle makes the play closer than it should have been. There are 2 outs and Purify is at the plate.

Purify with the grounder to 3rd and I will say that to a degree the umpire behind the plate and a few questionable strike calls have made the Tigers unsure of what to swing at. Regardless we move to the top of the sixth inning.

Leading off the top of the 6th for Georgia, Jackson

Jackson with the chopper to Gaffney who tossed the ball to Wentworth but a great hustle by Jackson made it a close play. The original call is safe but replay shows that the Tigers did get the out. The call is under review. After further review the runner is out and replay does confirm it!

At the plate for Georgia, Phelps

Phelps with the grounder to Paino and Gaffney had to stretch every inch of his body to hand onto the ball and keep his foot on the bag for the 2nd out. At the plate for Georgia, Branch

Branch goes down on strikes and once again the Tigers great defense keeps Georgia off the board. 

Leading off the bottom of the 6th for the Tigers, Priest

Priest draws a walk and that will bring Jarrell to the plate

Jarrell with the popup to the first base side and the ball stays in play for the first out and that will bring Crighton to the plate

Crighton with the grounder to the 2nd baseman and what a play for the first out in the inning and that will bring Paino to the plate with Jarrell in scoring position

Paino with the single and Jarrell gets throwed out at home and Georgia gets out of the inning. We are 2/3 of the way as we move to the top of the 7th.

Leading off the top of the 7th for Georgia, Obee

Obee draws a leadoff walk and that brings Hunter to the plate

Ball gets away and Obee moves up to 2nd, Hunter at the plate

After a brief discussion between Jarrell and Wentworth, Bakich makes his way out to the mound and decides to bring in Garris

This is the first right hander Georgia has faced tonight and they have been red hot against right handers this year, So far tonight the lefties did their job, lets see what Garris has for them here in the top of the 7th

Hunter grounds out the Purify at 2nd moving Obee to 3rd as McCarthy comes to the plate

McCarthy hits it right back top Garris and Garris keeps the runner at 3rd while getting the 2nd out and that brings Alford to the plate and you can bet if Garris holds Georgia off the scoreboard here, this place will come to its feet

Alford grounds out to the shortstop and the Tigers get out of the top of the 7th without giving up a run.

Leading off the bottom of the 7th for the Tigers, Gaffney

Gaffney with the line drive to the 2nd baseman for the first out in the inning and that brings Cuifo to the plate

Cuifo with the slow roller and the hustle down the line causes the Georgia defense to throw the ball away and that brings Listi to the plate

I am not sure what the Georgia coach is questioning here but there is a discussion underway and now a explanation to the head coach for Georgia is taking place. Apparently they are reviewing the play at first base. The call originally was safe. After further review, the call stands, the runner is safe. That will bring Listi to the plate

Listi lifts the fly ball to left field for the first out bringing Cannarella to the plate

Another pitching change for Georgia as Cannarella is on deck.

Cannarella with the RBI double in the gap in left center field and the Tigers extend the lead to 3-0. That brings Purify to the plate.

Purify apparently goes down on strikes but I am not sure he swung at the pitch but the ball got away and the throw down to first was in time and Bakich is questioning the cal. Anyway we move to the top of the 8th.

Burnett with the fly ball to center field and Cannarella hauls it in for the first out in the inning. That brings Zaborowski to the plate

Zaborowski pops it a mile high and Gaffney comes all the way in to the catchers area and makes a acrobatic catch for the 2nd out in the inning. That will bring Jackson to the plate

Jackson with the fly ball to the wall in center field and once again Cam makes the catch at the wall and the Tigers once again turns the top of the 8th into a 1,2,3 inning.

Leading off the bottom of the 8th for the Tigers, Priest

Priest goes down on strikes and that brings Jarrell to the plate

Jarrell pops it up into foul territory and the right fielder McCarthy hauls it in for the 2nd out. That will bring Crighton to the plate

Crighton with the dribbler/infield single and that brings Paino to the plate

Paino with a deep grounder to the short stop and what a play. We move to the top of the 9th. Tigers 3 outs away from victory

Phelps goes down on strikes for the first out in the inning. That will bring Branch to the plate

Branch grounds out to 3rd and the Tigers are one out away from putting Georgia away and that will bring Hudson to the plate

Hudson goes down on strikes and a throw down to first and that is your ballgame. It's a final.
