I am live on the campus of Georgia Tech for game 3 of the weekend series with the Lady  Tigers.  The Lady Tigers have taken the first two games of the series and looking for a weekend sweep. This is the last game of the regular season before heading to Boston College next week for the ACC Softball Tournament. One has to figure they are a top 16 seed and will be at home for the regionals and more than likely go on the road for the Super Regionals. Game time is at 12 noon. Starting Lineups

Leading off the top of the 1st for the Tigers, Alex Brown

Brown goes down on strikes and that brings hot hitting Maddie Moore to the plate.

Moore goes down on strikes and that will bring Julia Knowler to the plate

Knowler sends the first pitch into center field for a single and that brings Macey Cintron to the plate.

Cintron goes down on strikes and just like that, we have completed a half inning.

Leading off the bottom of the 1st for the y\Yellow Jackets, Eliana Gottlieb

Gottlieb with the flare to the shortstop Collins for the first out in the inning. That will bring Alyssa Willer to the plate

Willer pops it up to Basinger and its a quick 2 outs bringing Grace Connelly to the plate

Connelly draws a walk on a great pitch by Basinger. Where that one missed I have no idea but she draws a walk bringing Addison Leschber to the plate

Rittman out to have a lengthy talk with Basinger and Vieira

Leschber with the shot to the first baseman Knowler who steps on the bag for the third out in the inning. 

Leading off the top of the 2nd for the Tigers, Aby Vieira

Vieira goes down on strikes and that will bring Marian Collins to the plate

Collins with the fly ball to center field and that brings Taylor Pipkins to the plate

Pipkins pops it up and the Tigers go 1,2,3 in the top of the 2nd.

Leading off the bottom of the 2nd for the Yellow Jackets, Gracyn Tucker

Tucker with the leadoff home run to start the bottom of the 2nd. That is her 12th home run on the season. That will bring Paige Vukadinovich to the plate

Vukadinovich with the bunt single and that will bring Emma Minghini

Minghini goes down on strikes for the 1st out in the inning and that brings Emma Simon to the plate

Simon with the grounder to Collins who handles it nicely for the 2nd out in the inning and that will bring Reese Hunter to the plate

Hunter with the fly ball to right field, but the Yellow Jackets get on the scoreboard with a leadoff home run to start the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Leading off the top of the 3rd for the Tigers, Kylee Johnson

Johnson pops it up to the shortstop for the first out in the inning bringing Jamison Brockenbrough to the plate

Brockenbrough with the fly ball to center fielder and that brings us to the top of the lineup with Brown coming to the plate

Brown goes down on a great off speed pitch. Tigers having a hard time figuring out the pitch sequence right now. and the frustration is showing.

Rittman has pulled Basinger and Macey Cintron is on to pitch for the Lady Tigers

Leading off the bottom of the 3rd for Georgia Tech, Gottlieb

Gottliebdraws a leadoff walk and that brings Willer to the plate

Willer with the base hit off the glove of Collins into center field and that will bring Connelly to the plate as the Tiger infield gets together for a conversation. 

Connelly with the sacrifice bunt moving the runners over to 2nd and 3rd and that will bring Leschber to the plate

Rittman is bringing Basinger back in to pitch, not sure what this sequence is all about but I will say Rittman hasn't been happy with the umpire behind the plate, so I am not sure if it was a just settle her down move or if Basinger had something going on that we were unaware of

Leschber has been hit by a pitch and the Yellow Jackets have the bases loaded bringing Tucker to the plate

Tucker with the line drive shot right at  Maddie Moore with the stab and grab and turns the double play and the Tigers dodge a bullet bringing the partisan Clemson crowd to it's feet and they showed their appreciation.

Leading off the top of the 4th, Moore

Moore pops it up to right field and Georgia tech pitching continues to keep the Tigers bats at bay. That will bring Knowler to the plate

Knowler with a shot into center field and ends up at 2nd base bringing Cintron to the plate

Cintron draws a walk and with runners on first and second that will bring Vieira to the plate

Georgia Tech coach is out to have a conversation with the pitcher and catcher 

Ball gets away and the runners move up to 2nd and 3rd for the Tigers. Vieira with a golden opportunity here.

Vieira pops it up to the shortstop for the first out in the inning and that brings Collins to the plate

Collins draws a walk and the bases are loaded for Pipkins

Pipkins goes down on strikes and the Tigers missed an opportunity in the top of the 4th. 

Leading off the bottom of the 4th for Georgia Tech, Vukadinovich

Vukadinovich leads off the bottom of the 4th for the Yellow Jackets with a single into center field and that will bring Minghini to the plate and that will end the day for Basinger and Rittman will bring Brooks McCubbin on to pitch for the Tigers

Minghini draws a walk and the Jackets have runners on first and second bringing Simon to the plate

Simon with the sacrifice bunt and now the Yellow Jackets once again have runners on 2nd and 3rd. That will bring Hunter to the plate

Hunter grounds back to the pitcher on a slow roller just enough to score a RBI and that brings Gottlieb to the plate.

Gottlieb with the grounder to Moore for the final out in the inning but, the Yellow Jackets managed to scratch another run across the plate,

Leading off the top of the 5th for the Lady Tigers, Johnson

Johnson goes down on strikes and that will bring Brockenbrough to the plate

Brockenbrough with the one pitch pop up to the short stop and that will bring Brown to the plate

Brown pops it up to the 3rd baseman and its a 1,2,3 inning in the top of the 5th for the Tigers.

Leading off the bottom of the 5th for the Yellow Jackets, Willer

Willer draws a leadoff walk and the last few innings that has been the scene of the day. That brings Connelly to the plate

Connelly with the shot back to the pitcher for 1, 6,3 equals 2 if you know you know double play. That will bring Leschber to the plate

Leschber flies out to center field and that will end the bottom of the 5th for the Yellow Jackets.

Leading off the top of the 6th for the Tigers, Moore

Moore with the grounder to 2nd base for the first out in the inning and that will bring Knowler to the plate

Knnowler draws a walk and that brings Cintron to the plate

Cintron with the 2 run bomb and we are tied and the partisan crowd comes to its feet. That will bring Vieira to the plate as the Georgia tech coaching staff makes its way to the mound. 

Vieira with a single into right center field and a close play at the bag but the ball got away from the Georgia Tech 2nd baseman and now the Tigers have the go-ahead run at 2nd base. At the plate for the Tigers, Collins

Georgia Tech making a pitching change here on senior day. Cofield now on to pitch for the Yellow Jackets

Collins with the RBI double to the wall in center field and the Tigers now have the lead. That will bring Pipkins to the plate

Pipkins pop up to short center field for the 2nd out in the inning and that will bring Sam Minish to the plate. 

Minish is hit by pitch and that will bring Brockenbrough to the plate

Brockenbrough beats out the infield grounder on a bang bang play that will definitely be challenged by the Georgia Tech coaching staff. Upon further review, the call stands and the Tigers have the bases loaded. That will bring Brown to the plate

Brown with the 2 RBI flare into left field and the Tigers have somewhat stretched the lead. At the plate, Moore

Moore grounds back to the pitcher and Georgia Tech gets out of the inning. The Tigers score 5 runs in the top of the 6 high lighted by Macey Cintron 2-run Homerun that tied the game and then opened the flood gates just a bit.

Leading off the bottom of the 5th for the Yellow Jackets, Tucker

Tucker with the grounder to Collins who back hands it and throws across the field to get the first out in the inning. That will bring Vukadinovich to the plate

Vukadinovich with the fly ball to left field and that will bring Ella Edgmon

Edgmon with the double off the wall in center field and that will b ring Simon to the plate

Simon with the grounder to Brown who completes the throw over to first for the final out in bottom of the 6.

Leading off the top of the 7th for the Tigers, Knowler

Knowler grounds to first base for the first out in the inning. That will bring Cintron who hit the 2 run bomb to tie this game up, to the plate

Cintron with the Homerun off the scoreboard. That is her 2nd Homerun on the day. At the plate for the Tigers, Vieira

Vieira draws a walk and that brings Collins to the plate as Georgia tech will make a pitching change

Collins with the bomb to Peachtree Street and the Tigers have blowed this game wide open. At the plate for the Tigers, Haylee Whitesides

Whitesides pop up to center field for the 2nd out and that will bring Johnson to the plate

Johnson draws a walk that will bring Brockenbrough to the plate

Brockenbrough with the infield single. Runners on first and second and that will bring Brown to the plate

Brown with a grounder back to the pitcher and that will get Georgia tech out of the inning. The Tigers add3 more runs,

Leading off the bottom of the 7th for the Yellow Jackets, Hunter

Hunter pop up to the short stop Collins, and that will bring Gottlieb to the plate

Gottlieb flies out to left field and the Yellow Jackets are down to their last out. At the plate for Georgia tech, Willier
