The Tigers were oh so close to putting Texas away last night for their first-ever trip to the College World Series! A 2-run error cost them in regulation, and then they were unable to get the winning run home from 3rd with no outs in extra innings. It's a winner-take-all game tonight at 9:00 on ESPN2, and I'll have updates right here! |

Ugh Tigers trail 6-3 in the 4th. Reese gave up 3 runs in the 2nd, and McCubbin had to come in early to relieve her. The Tigers scored in the 3rd on a great slide by Moore at the plate, but they stranded a runner at 3rd. Texas added 2 runs in the 3rd to make it 5-1, and the Tigers answered with 2 runs in the 4th to make it 5-3, but Texas just scored again here in the bottom of the 4th with McCubbin in the circle to make it 6-3. |
