Good afternoon Tigers fans, I am live at McWhorter Stadium for this afternoon match between the Tigers and the Cardinals. I am doing a double dip today, once I finish up here I will be heading next door to cover game 2 between the baseball Tigers and Georgia Tech. This is game 1 of the series between the softball Tigers vs Louisville. The first pitch will be shortly after 4pm.

Starting Lineups

Leading off the top of the first for Louisville, Easton Lucas

Easton with the base hit back up the middle and that will bring Chelsea Mack to the plate

Mack with the opposite field base hit into left and Louisville has runners on first and second with no outs. That will bring Bri Despines to the plate

Despines goes down on strikes and that will bring Camryn Lookadoo to the plate

Lookadoo with the grounder to the pitcher and there are 2 outs with runners on 2nd and 3rd for Louisville and that will bring Madison Pickens to the plate

Pickens is hit by a pitch and she will need a second to catch her breath and that will bring Jordan Williams to the plate

Williams with the 2-RBI single and the throw away over the catchers ahead allows the runners to move up to 2nd and 3rd. That will bring Taylor Monroe to the plate

Monroe with a RBI single up up the middle and a great stop by Marian Collins but another over throw allowed Louisville to score another run and runners are still on 2nd and 3rd as Riley Janda comes to the plate

Janda draws a walk and the bases are loaded once again for the Cardinals as Addy O'Dell comes to the plate

A passed ball allows a runner and Louisville got caught in a run down between 3rd and home and the Tigers managed to get the 3rd out to get out of the inning. Louisville does some damage.

Leading off the bottom of the 1st for the Tigers, Jamison Brockenbrough

Brockenbrough with the fly ball to left field for the first out in the inning and that will bring Kiley Channell to the plate

Channell with the grounder to 3rd and there are 2 outs as Mac Pavese comes to the plate

Pavese with the infield single and that will bring Marian Collins to the plate

Collins with the drive up the middle and there will be a review at 3rd as right now, Pavese was called out. Upon review, at the plate for the Tigers, Julia Knowler

After review, Pavese is ruled safe and the Tigers have runners on 2nd and 3rd.

Knowler with the RBi single on a great stop by the short stop and with runners on first and third that will bring Corri Hicks to the plate

Hicks draws a walk and the bases are loaded for the Tigers as Sarah Breaux comes to t\he plate.

We have a pitching change for Louisville here in the bottom of the 1st. Now pitching for the Cardinals, Alyssa Zabala

Pipkins goes down on a trikes but the Tigers storm back with 5 runs on 5 hits highlighted by Sarah Breaux first career Homerun, a Grandslam.

Leading off the top of the 2nd for the Cardinas, Addy O'Dell

O'Dell goes down on strikes and we are back to the top of the lineup, Lotus

Lotus with the slap shot into left field and that will bring Mack to the plate

Mack draws a walk and that will bring Despines to the plate

Despines with the grounder to second as runners move up to 2nd and 3rd for the Cardinals. At the plate, Lookadoo

Luckadoo with the grounder to short and Channell was unable to handle it as a run scores for the Cardinals. That will bring Pickens to the plate

Pickens with the RBI drop into left field and the Cardinal have regained the lead. At the plate, Williams

Williams with the grounder back to the pitcher and that will end the inning.

Leading off the bottom of the 2nd for the Tigers, Brockenbrough

Brockenbrough with the fly ball to Centerfield and that will bring Channell to the plate

Channell with the pop up between short and second and a nasty collision. The ball was caught and held on to but when I tell you this was nasty, the 2nd baseman for the Cardinal took a knee to the face on the collision and she is still down. Great play but lets hope this is nothing serious. She is sitting up and obviously has all the time in the world to gather herself. She is being helped up to an applause from the crowd here at McWhorter stadium. She is going to stay in the game so lets see how she responds. At the plate for the Tigers, Pavese

Monroe with the grounder to short for the first out in the inning and that will bring Janda to the plate

Janda with the shot and a great play by Chanell to smother it and keep it in the infield. That will bring O'Dell to the plate

O'Dell goes down on strikes and that will bring Lotus to the plate

Lotus goes down on strikes and that will end the top of the 3rd for the Cardinals.

Leading off the bottom of the 3rd for the Tigers, Collins

Collins goes down on a trikes and that will bring Knowler to the plate

Knowler is hit by a pitch and that will bring Hicks to the plate

Hicks goes down on a trikes and that will bring Breaux to the plate

Breaux with the fly ball to right field and that will bring the bottom of the 3rd for the Tigers to an end.

Leading off the top of the 4th for the Cardinal, Mack

Mack with the drive into center field and that will bring Despines to the plate

Despines with the grounder to short, Mack holds at second and that will bring Lookadoo to the plate

Leading off the bottom of the 4th for the Tigers, Johnson

Johnson lays down a perfect bunt and manages to beat the throw and that will bring Pipkins to the plate

Pipkins with the sacrifice bunt and that moves Johnson over to second. At the plate for the Tigers, Brockenbrough

Brockenbrough lays down a bunt and the Tigers have runners on first and third as Channell comes to the plate

Rittman has found a hole in the Cardinal defense, that is three straight bunts and the Louisville infield has come together to talk about it

Channell lays down the bunt and the Tigers score and that will bring Pavese to the plate

Williams with the shot right back to the pitcher and that will bring Monroe to the plate

Knowler with the grounder to second and a great diving play and it is a bang bang play. Remember a tie doesn't always go to the runner so this call could go either way. At the plate for the Tigers, Minish
