Ugh terrible news 2 weeks before the opener at LSU. Burley was the one DT that they could ill afford to lose. It's better than a season-ending injury, but Dabo has been waiting for one of the tackles to be an "alpha" at the position, and Burley was the most likely candidate. They really need Amare Adams, Oklahoma transfer Markus Strong and the others at tackle to step up now. Fortunately, we've been hearing good things about JuCo transfer Andy Burburija. We'll have to wait and see how many games Burley will miss. Statement from Dabo: "Earlier today, I was made aware of defensive tackle Vic Burley’s arrest by the Clemson University Police Department for disorderly conduct early Saturday morning. I have made the decision to suspend Vic from our football team indefinitely. We are extremely disappointed by his actions and decisions.” |
