Welcome home, alumni! The basketball team kicked off Homecoming weekend in style last night with a thrilling 82-80 win over Georgia on a buzzer-beater by transfer Dylan Faulkner in their first exhibition of the season. You can see my story and post-game interviews on the front page. I can't wait for another primetime game in Death Valley tonight! It's gonna be a tough one because the Hokies are 5-2 and a last-second field goal miss against Pitt from being 6-1. They have a good quarterback, good offense, top 5 in sacks, lead the nation in tackles-for-loss and the No.1 punt returner in the nation. Of course, it's also a rematch for Dabo with former Penn State Head Coach James Franklin, who brought several players with him from State College, including QB Ethan Grunkemeyer, who beat the Tigers in the Pinstripe Bowl last season. Tom Allen will also be facing his former head coach and former players, as will CB Elliot Washington. I'll have more in a bit. Kickoff is at 7:00 on ESPN, and I'll have live coverage right here as always! PREDICTION: CLEMSON 23 Hokies 17 If the Tigers actually win the turnover margin for the first time this season, I think they win by at least 10, but I'm not gonna predict that until it happens. Lol |
