Dabo held his Tuesday press conference and told us that co-starting RB Kobe Pace will be out due to Covid. I hate to laugh, but this season is so ridiculous that it's hard to do anything else. Every week, it's at least one new starter out. They finally get Shipley back against Pitt, and Pace immediately goes out with Covid. They've had 19 scholarship players miss games already in half the season, 14 out for the season. 43 different players have started in the first 7 games. In 2018, they had 32 starters in 15 games! I'd wager no team in history has dealt with injuries to this extent before. Really, it's miraculous they are 4-3 and just one play against No.1 UGA, one play at No.22 NC State and 2 plays at No.23 Pitt from being 7-0!
Saturday's game against FSU will be the Breast Cancer Awareness game, and they will honor Bobby and Tommy Bowden as well. Please keep Lannden Zanders and his family in your prayers. He almost died the other night, waking while his house was burning to the ground! Thank the Lord he made it out.
Wow, what an incredibly moving and heartbreaking interview with Matt Bockhorst, whose football career has ended with his 5th knee surgery. He is the heart and soul of this team, and his career-ending injury on Saturday pretty much sums up this season in a nut shell. The 24-minute tear-jerker is a must watch, folks! All of the interviews are below.
