CLEMSON, SC - The Lady Tigers came up with late rallies and a pair of walk-off wins against No.23 Notre Dame over Easter Weekend. On Friday, the Irish scored 2 runs in the 1st off of Cagle thanks to a 2-out error. Cagle would get one run back in the bottom half with a sac fly, but the Tigers trailed 2-1 with 2 outs in the 7th. A clutch 2-out single by Clark tied the game, and then a chopper by Cagle was mishandled, allowing the winning run to score on the error. Cagle picked up her 50th career win and 499th career strikeout as the Tigers won their 11th straight game.
Notre Dame evened the series with a 4-0 win on Saturday and took a 1-0 lead in the 1st on Sunday thanks to a wild pitch. The Tigers tied the game, and in the bottom of the 7th, Cammy Pereira drove in the winning run.
The Tigers are 33-11 overall and 11-6 in ACC play. They have a monster series coming up next weekend at No.4 FSU, and it will be the first-ever meeting between the Tigers and the Seminoles, who won the national title in 2018 and were runner-up last season.
