Redshirt junior Lannden Zanders entered last season as a starter but suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in the opener against Georgia, perhaps a harbinger of the injury-plagued season that was to come. He missed the spring as well after his 3rd shoulder surgery and has decided to call it quits just 2 days before the start of August camp. It's a tough loss, but the Tigers are still in good shape at safety with Mukuba, Phillips, Mickens, Venables and freshman Covil, who impressed last spring.
