The Tigers improved to 3-1 on Friday night with a good win over a scrappy Bellarmine team that won at Louisville last week. It was a close game throughout, as the Tigers never led by more than 6 in the first half. The lead changed several times in the second half, but the Tigers pulled away late and led by as many as 15. Ian Shieffelin was huge down the stretch, scoring 11 points over 4 and a half minutes late in the game and finishing with 13. Chase Hunter continued to lead the Tigers in scoring with 15 points on 5-6 from beyond the arc. Galloway added 14 points, and Tyson's shooting wrist must be feeling better because he was 3-5 from 3. The Tigers were a red-hot 13-28 (46.4%) from beyond the arc. PJ Hall scored 10 points in 19 minutes, as Brownell continues to limit his time to about 20 minutes per game.
The Tigers host Loyola of Maryland next on Monday night before a tough game against Iowa in Florida next Friday. Post-game interviews are below!
